In light of most students returning back to school after over a year of virtual
learning, we at Proudly Female knew that transition could be touch mentally.
We invited expert Ayesha Noelle to collaborate on an imposter syndrome and mental
health workshop since both are important issues that aren't talked about enough.
Ayesha Noelle is an Imposter Syndrome coach with a background in Applied Psychology, she helps perfectionistic women break free from Imposter Syndrome and embrace themselves fully.
A virtual exchange for girls from Newark, Algeria, and Russia, centered around women's rights around the world, and how the issue is the same but also different globally. We had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Carolyn Washington. She has a Ph.D. in global gender studies. She co-chairs the Women of Color Advancing Peace and Security (WCAPS) Defense and Intelligence working group and is a retired US Army officer. She was able to share her personal experiences from her time serving the country and the U.S. Government as a woman of color.
A virtual exchange for girls from Newark, Algeria, and Brazil, interested in becoming global citizens. Students were able to engage in cultural exchange (which is not always accessible to everyone). Participants were educated on important issues like gender inequity and its effects in different countries, as well as strides taken by people around the world to combat this problem. The main purpose was to observe how the same topic (gender equity) is different around the world and introduce the girls to different people/cultures.
